I'd just like to say thanks Paul for making us feel so welcome. You have an excellent pub with one of the best pints of old Peculiar I have ever had. Unfortunately it had the adverse effect of me being slaughtered by 2.00am. The band's performance was spot on and what a stunning version of Comfortably Numb. Once again thanks to everyone involved and I'll see you all again in June.

Thanks to Paul at the Lion and, of course, the band, for an inspirational night, just wish I could have got someone else to do the driving in the fog. Remote venue - you have got to believe it! I was particularly fortunate because EU Commission ineptitude meant my meeting was brought forward a couple of days so I was able to make it - so a special thanks for holding a ticket for me.

Regards

FreePaul

Hi to the Blakey team,

I have just been looking at your website for more information about Prendo and Sevenball, the bands that are playing the mid summer festival on the 20th June. My partner, Sid and I are mainly coming to see Mostly Autumn, but I thought that I would check out the other bands a bit more before venturing up to visit the legendary pub! and I must admit I am really looking forward to it ...

We visited the pub when Mostly Autumn played on the 20 something of Nov last year and thoroughly enjoyed the band not to mention the hospitality and atmosphere of the place, I felt particulary relaxed. Sid certainly did, however he did end up in rather a bad way later on ...he went hell for leather on the beer and rum as he did'nt have to drive back home. I thought it was an unforgettable night and knew I would love to come back again soon. When I found out that Mostly Autumn were playing on the 20th June and as part of an open air festival, I got very excited and booked some tickets straight away. Quite frankly I can't wait! they really are a very talented band and I think the best place to see them is non other than The Lion Inn!

We live in a rural area, in a place called Hebden Bridge, I don't know whether you have heard of it?? so we appreciate the finer places around!!! The Lion Inn at Blakey being one of them and what a brilliant idea to turn it into a music venue. We need more of these sort of places in my opinion... the world would be a more pleasent and interesting place, don't you think so?

As I have been looking around the Blakey website, I would like to comment on how easy it is to get around it. It is also very informative and straight to the point. Keep up the good work and see you on the 20th June.

Thanks Rachael.
