

Gerry first played the Lion in the seventies as keyboardist with Sting's band "Last Exit", making weekly trips from Newcastle and playing to a cult following. Whilst continuing to work with Sting from the days of Police onwards (he played on his recent album "Mercury Falling") Gerry's session and touring work has included stints with artists such as Billy Ocean and John Miles.
His trio centres on the unique sound of the Hammond - this dynamic band explore the full range from hard bob to gospel, funk and samba. Gerry has a wealth of experience in both jazz and rock - brought to an exciting and innovative fusion in this latest venture. Material by Mose Allison, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Rufus Thomas, Jimmy Smith and Jimmy McGriff along with Gerry's own accessible and original tunes forms part of an eclectic and imaginative repertoire. Recent gigs have included Ronnie Scott's Club, The Yardbird Suite - Leeds, Teesside Festival, Birmingham International Jazz Festival, BBC Music Live and Newcastle Jazz Festival.
Garry Linsley (Saxophone and Percussion) has fifteen years local, national and international touring experience with bands such as the renowned Junco Partners, Red Music and Chairman Mo's Blues Party. Paul Smith (drums) is recognised as one of the best drummers working the contemporary scene - at home in any style and master of the groove, he's worked with almost everybody!
